Summary
Tomica Bajsić: The Invisible Sea
Tomica Bajsić belongs to that group of writers who truly celebrate life and difference. Bajsić knows that every human life is unique. He belongs to that dying breed of people who do not wait for the world to arrive on the screen, but have the courage to face all life's challenges - from the highest joys to the deepest suffering. Tomica Bajsić is one of the rare hunters of metaphors and meanings because she knows perfectly well that somewhere there is a point where language, especially poetic language, still has a reason to exist. Because maybe somewhere there is that crystal cube of cheerfulness that Tin Ujević sang about. If it is still hidden somewhere in the spaces of contemporary Croatian literature, then Tomica Bajsić owns it. And he shares it with us without any tolerance or selfishness. How can someone who has actually seen the invisible sea from the beginning have it? Even the one in which we protect ourselves from ourselves: our invisible sea, sun, salt, waves, tides, ebbs and a single sail, when we thought that there was no one else anywhere.
