Summary
Christian Millau: Gastronomy Enthusiast's Dictionary
In my life, I have spent half a century cruising the planet up and down, guided by my stomach, and I still haven't left the desire to tell about it. But not as a professor of "gastronomy" (oh, what nasty words!), but as a gourmet, as a lover of good and beautiful things, encounters and discoveries. In order to share with the reader my joys, misfortunes or outbursts of anger, I entered the character of the storyteller, as if I were in the company gathered at the table.
When I offer him to taste the rabbit in the royal way, there we are at the Pale Royal at Mrs. Kolet's. Together we inhale the smells of cooked beef from Mrs. Milor, my housekeeper, we imperceptibly slip into the mysterious kitchens of freemasonry, sit at the table with the greatest chefs of the century and make fun of the funny side of certain contemporary gastronomy.
