Jean-Luc Godard

French film director, screenwriter and film critic. He is one of the founders and most important representatives of the French New Wave. In the mid-fifties, he directed several short films, and in 1960, he shot his first feature film, Do the Last Breath. He actively participated in the protests in May 1968, and the film became his weapon in the fight against the system. He proposes an idealistic film that will enable the proletariat to obtain the means of production and distribution. Godard sought to make films that were completely opposed to Hollywood production, a policy that questioned the economic management structures that had a monopoly in Europe and third world countries.
