The work was written by Bertolt Brecht, a universal genius, playwright, writer and poet, director and theater theorist. He deserves special recognition because his plays are still seen today in theaters around the world. The basic ideas of his works are based on socialism, pacifism and internationalism. His sarcastic style, which never leaves him in his works, appears with warm compassion for the poor and weak. In building his style, he used materials and themes from the oldest to modern literature. The work consists of six smaller parts, and includes almost eighty characters.
