Summary
Terry Pratchett: Small Gods - a discworld novel
Brother Brother is a devoted worshiper of the Great God Om, in whose name the Omni Empire paved a bloody path of conquest across the continent. The only problem is that he is the only remaining devoted believer of the Great God Om, who Om believes is the reason why he was incarnated and trapped in the body of a small turtle. However, with Brata's help, he hopes to regain his former glory. The only problem is that Brata has no idea how to achieve this, especially in a theocratic realm where true religion is considered a threat... Everyone already knows that Terry Pratchett's Discworld is a series of fun comics, which parody works of other genres, but also aspects of everyday life, such as the film industry, law and shopping malls. Over time, more serious topics began to appear in the series, but very unobtrusively. In "Little Gods" (originally published in 1992), Pratchett tackled the more serious ideas he had previously flirted with, brought them into focus, injected a moderate dose of humor and arguably wrote his masterpiece.
