Summary
Nick Hornby: The Crash
Just when it seemed that fifteen-year-old Sam had everything lined up, that everything was just as it should be - life, mom, school, relationship - Alicia, his girlfriend, will drop a real time bomb. Alicia is, rather, his ex-girlfriend, since at the moment when she announced to him that she was pregnant, not even a "v" was left of their relationship. Sam doesn't want to be a teenage father. Mom gave birth at sixteen and let him know loud and clear how much that pregnancy disrupted her life.
There is only one person in the whole world to whom Sam can turn - his hero, the skating legend Tony Hawk. Sam always trusted him and his autobiography, they would always show him the right path in important life decisions. But is this problem too big even for Tony Hawk?
Nick Hornby has written an interesting and entertaining novel, a humorous and at the same time extremely insightful story about a teenager who unexpectedly finds himself in the role of a father, everything depends on the right decisions, the right people and the right support.
