Summary
Danilo Štrbac: Vampirska posla
The novel Vampirska posla is an unusual story from the seventies of the 20th century, about the time when the young protagonist found himself at a turning point in his life marked by an encounter with a mysterious woman. . .
Danilo Štrbac, with his storytelling gift, takes us back to our youth or childhood, when, like everywhere before a war, everything is different, when everything is somehow as it should be, while the hero of the novel goes in search of a vampire, in Eastern Serbia, where they most often appear. . .

Contrasted with the silvery moonlight, I see a withering figure in a long cloak, that specter's face is hidden by a hood, standing speechless in the doorway, not moving. "Who are you, what do you want from me!" I tear myself up hoarsely and hoarsely, more to encourage myself than to scare the one or the other at the door. And I grab with both hands that garland of garlic that hangs around my neck. . .
