Summary
William Bender: Project-based learning
Differentiated teaching for the 21st century
Project-based learning has proven to be one of the most effective teaching practices today. In project classes, students face real problems and tasks, cooperate with each other in finding and creating solutions, and then present the results of their work. This exciting current book describes how project-based teaching cultivates the skills and encourages innovative thinking of the 21st century. Each chapter provides a wealth of information on how project-based learning works in the classroom, as well as plenty of examples of projects that have actually been implemented in schools. Many information are highlighted in special fields, such as tips for implementing a project-based learning task, steps in the teaching process based on this learning, research findings on project-based learning, evaluation options in project-based learning, and other important information. Individual techniques and their theoretical assumptions are exhaustively described, but the emphasis is primarily on the development of project-based learning. In other words, proposals for implementation are the main part of this text.
