Summary

Yugoslavia and Poland: connections and mutual relations in the 20th century

Editors: Bojan Dimitrijević, Andrzej Zaćminski, Nebojša Stambolija

The Institute for Contemporary History from Belgrade and the Faculty of History (initially the Institute for History and International Relations) of Casimir the Great University in Bydgoszcz jointly organized annual scientific conferences during the past decade. They were held alternately once a year, one in Poland and the other in Serbia. The topics of each of the eight meetings held were within the framework of the Yugoslav-Serbian and Polish relations in the 20th century. Initially, the research topics were within the period of socialism in both countries, from 1945 to 1990. Later, the range of topics expanded to include topics from the period between the two world wars, as well as the most modern era. This collection, which is before the readers, brings papers from the scientific meeting held on September 16 and 17, 2021 in Belgrade. A total of 33 papers of conference participants were included in the collection. The difference in the number is due to the fact that some of the participants did not register works, while others, who were in the organizing committee, registered works. In addition to authors from Poland and Serbia, there are also authors from Slovenia and Croatia with their contribution to this topic in the form of articles, but also in order to give the works in the collection a kind of "Yugoslavian character".
