Morphological and microscopic analysis checks the identity, purity and quality of spices. The morphological examination of the declared spice is important not only for work in the field, in import ports and customs offices, but is also necessary for work in control analytical laboratories. Morphological analysis includes the examination of identity based on morphological characteristics, by observing the external appearance, shape and color of spices. Microscopic analysis reveals structural details or groups of cells on the microscopic preparation, typical of the tested sample of spices.
The book is equipped with numerous illustrations - results of morphological and microscopic analyzes as well as excellent photographs of herbs. The author previously published the book Pharmacognosia phytofarmacija in the same edition.
