Innocent Taurisano: Blessed Ozana of Kotor
She was born on November 25, 1493 in the village of Relezi in central Montenegro, and died in Kotor on April 27, 1565 in the name of holiness. She is mentioned as blessed as early as 1602 in the wills of Kotor citizens. The church recognized her as veneration on December 20, 1927. She belonged to the Tertiary nuns of St. Dominica. She spent 52 years in a monastery cell in strict penance. The undecomposed body of the blessed woman is kept in the collegiate church of St. Mary in Kotor. In 1665, she was included among the patrons of the city of Kotor and the Kotor diocese.
