Summary
Mikhail Bakhtin: Aesthetics of linguistic creativity
The collection of Bakhtin's works in poetics and literary history consists of the following texts:
1) A novel about education and its significance in the history of realism;
2) Time and space in Goethe's works;
3) Dramatic works of Leo Tolstoy;
4) Ideological novel Leo Tolstoy;
5) Satire;
6) The problem of speech genres;
7) Answer to the questions of the "New Peace" editors;
8) Text problems in linguistics, philology and other humanities.
These are completed or almost completed works, created between the two world wars and later, in which one can see the problems the author dealt with and where the extraordinary breadth of his research is shown. In "Novel o vospitanje..." he brought a typology of the European novel, in "Satire" he gave a very detailed overview of the history of this genre in European literature, while in "The Problem of Spoken Genres" he posed research problems concerning the peculiarities of these genres and their connection with other genres. Other works are also important for a better understanding of what Bakhtin was interested in and what is also important for his major books on Dostoevsky and Rabelais.
