Matija Dautović: Croatian-Russian dictionary I-II
This encyclopedic dictionary is an important and valuable contribution to Croatian lexicography and is intended for the domestic and foreign public. It will especially be used by language experts, Slavists, translators, students, and business people. The dictionary contains approximately 100,000 accented entries, numerous phrases and expressions, a list of geographical names, and an extensive bibliography. Special attention is paid to the way to connect a certain word into a sentence, for example, along with Croatian prepositions, the case in which they are used is indicated, the most important differences between Croatian and Russian syntactic connections are indicated, the syntactic and stylistic use of a word in the text is pointed out, etc., which greatly increases the value of this dictionary for all users.
