Jagodić Miloš

Summary

Miloš Jagodić: Serbia and Old Serbia

New findings concerning the origin of the term "Old Serbia" and its development and use in the middle of the 19th century and the work to achieve the goals of national policy, defined by the "Drawing" of Ilija Garašanin, in Old Serbia from 1849 to 1851.
Jagodić believes that most of the plans were based on the principle of historical law, which he contextualized by analyzing knowledge about Serbia's past at that time. The author successfully used the available sources to determine the existence or non-existence of ethnic identity, historical and national consciousness of the Christian population of Old Serbia, and supported the conclusions with authentic examples.
