Summary
Luka Marković: It is not good, but there is hope
Europe and its dilemmas
Calling things by their right names, stating the situation, is the first prerequisite for an honest and fruitful dialogue. Brother Luka Marković believes in the possibility of dialogue, but he has no money in his pocket, whether it is about inter-ethnic relations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, or about the wider European issue of dialogue and coexistence with Islam. He does not recognize imposed taboos when it comes to politics, starting with what is closest to him personally, which is the position of Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is one of the few church voices that, without complexes, with clear arguments in the direction of a constructive approach to a sustainable BiH, speaks of a third, territorially discontinuous entity. He points out that it is not possible to organize BiH in any other way than as a federal community, and that every attempt to create a civil state is an opportunity for the dominance of the majority people in BiH. And that leads to conflict and disintegration. At the same time, he clearly points out the co-responsibility of the Church and intellectuals for the current bad situation. Nina Raspudić
