Heritage in Focus

In 2011, the Institute for the History of Art in Zagreb celebrated half a century of existence and continuous work in the field of Croatian art history. In that period, the Institute played a significant role in the development of historical art science in Croatia, especially in the research and presentation of the national artistic heritage.

The Institute's scientists wrote numerous scientific and professional articles, published books, produced TV and radio shows, participated in the preparation of major exhibitions (eg Holy Trail, 900th year of the Zagreb Archdiocese), making a major contribution to better knowledge, evaluation and interpretation of Croatia's artistic past.

This the book, as a bilingual edition (Croatian-English), is intended for professionals and the general public, i.e. all interested readers who have an interest in the artistic heritage of Croatia.
