Szeman, Joseph (Josip), Slovak surveyor and cartographer (Košice, 1783 – ?, 1844). The ruler of the Zagreb County and Diocese. Author of the copper engraving Map of the Diocese of Zagreb (Mappa Dioecesis Zagrabiensis, 1822) with a view of Zagreb, commissioned by Bishop Maksimilijan Vrhovac. He is also the author of Map of Zagreb County (Mappa Comitatus Zagrabiensis, 1825).
