The author of the book was the chief economist of the World Bank until 2000 and at the top of the US President Clinton's administration, and is considered one of the most competent people who can talk about globalization and the consequences it causes, the indebtedness of underdeveloped countries and international financial stability. In his opinion, the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank and the USA are not doing enough to make globalization succeed and the free market to revive for the benefit of poor underdeveloped and developing countries.
