Rihard Vagner: konsttruktor "istinske" realnosti

Jeremić-Molnar Dragana

Summary

Dragana Jeremić-Molnar: Rihard Wagner: constructor of "true" reality

The builder of "true" reality, Richard Wagner, subordinated his entire artistic and intellectual work to changing the existing world, which he believed to be decaying. In order to initiate the process of regeneration and its final realization, Wagner also founded the Bayreuth festivities, a kind of artistic-religious theater-candlelight institution. According to his idea, the festivities in Bayreuth became a unique place and a unique opportunity for the audience not only to see/hear "The Ring of the Nibelung" and "Parsifal", in which Wagner artistically constructed the "real" reality, but also to feel these works as "a piece of the bright future". Step by step, reconstructing the intellectual and artistic development of the German composer, as well as the historical context and tradition on which he relied, Dragana Jeremić-Molnar explains in detail the process of maturation and shaping of Wagner's vision of the world and the role of art in such a world seen: his goal was to expose the visitors of the Bayreuth festivities to the strong impression that they were witnessing something truly real, to make them feel the spirit of community and encourage them to experience the "real" reality by making it really real by starting chain of political, social, moral and cultural changes in Germany (and the whole world).
