Summary
Josip Pupačić: I look at the sea
Even today, after more than four decades since the tragic death of Josip Pupačić, it is possible to find a whole series of valuable, completed and unfinished manuscripts, which deserve to be published, among the author's legacy. And this manuscript is certainly one of them.
Although unfinished, and therefore quite naturally and imperfectly, because it cannot be evaluated as a complete whole, it nevertheless represents a credible and representative sample of Pupačić's view directed towards the sea.
It is about one hundred and eleven poems by thirty-eight authors chosen up to that time, in addition to two folk poems, in which the sea is, in an indirect or direct way, sung.
The book is illustrated with drawings - portraits of poets - from the pens of the most famous Croatian painters, as well as their biographies.
