"The Jungle Book" by Rudyard Kipling is a collection of stories about human archetypes, the most famous of which follows the boy Mowgli, who is raised by wolves in the Indian jungle, with the help of a panther Bagheere, bear Baloja, and with the eternal threat of the tiger Sherea Khan. In addition to Mowgli's adventures, the collection also contains other stories, such as "Rikki-Tikki-Tavi", which emphasize themes of loyalty, courage and finding one's place in society, and have often been adapted into films, plays and influenced the Boy Scout movement.
