Summary
Reiner Maria Rilke: Letters to a Young Poet / Devin's Elegies
It was in the late autumn of 1902, when Franz Xaver Kappus found out that he and the famous poet shared a destiny, at least in some respects. Both attended the Military Academy in Vienna's Novi Mjesto. Kappus, in addition, wrote songs himself. That autumn, he dared to send Rilke his poetic attempts and ask his opinion. Several weeks passed before the blue-stamped letter arrived from Paris. Thus began the correspondence of the "young poet" Kappus, to whom the great poet Rainer Maria Rilke wrote letters about life, freedom, writing, love... After the poet's death in 1926, Kappus published the letters. A booklet that will take your breath away with its beauty.
