Pre-Socratic temptation and the beginnings of Greek philosophy are only an introduction to Plato's metaphysical path, his aesthetics and truth. The book follows the interpretation of Aristotle's metaphysics, the question of God in Aristotle's philosophy and his turn towards science. The last chapters are dedicated to the Neoplatonist heritage, an introduction to the thought-religious context of Neoplatonism and a consideration of the dialectic of persistence.
