Nerkez Smailagić: History of Political Doctrines I-II
Nerkez Smailagić (1927-1985) completed primary and secondary school in his native Banja Luka. He graduated in 1951 from the Faculty of Law in Sarajevo. He studied twice in France - in Nancy (1953) and Paris (1955) - where he studied political theory and contemporary political doctrines. Between 1960 and 1962 he was the director of the National Theater in Banja Luka. He has lived in Zagreb since 1962. He is one of the co-founders of the Faculty of Political Sciences in Zagreb, where he taught the history of political doctrines from 1962 to 1973. Due to his participation in the Croatian Spring, he was excluded from classes. Since 1977, he has been a senior research associate at the Faculty of Islamic Theology (today's Faculty of Islamic Sciences). Nerkez Smailagić was a translator and publisher of numerous works in the fields of legal and political doctrines, philosophy, culture, civilization, history and Islamic studies. He translated from French, German, English and Italian.
