Collected works of Nerkez Smailagić - Islamic opus
Nerkez Smailagić (1927-1985) completed primary and secondary school in his native Banja Luka. He graduated in 1951 from the Faculty of Law in Sarajevo. He studied in France on two occasions - in Nancy (1953) and Paris (1955) - where he studied political theory and contemporary political doctrines. Between 1960 and 1962, he was the director of the National Theater in Banja Luka. He has lived in Zagreb since 1962. He is one of the co-founders of the Faculty of Political Sciences in Zagreb, where he taught the history of political doctrines from 1962 to 1973. Due to his participation in the Croatian Spring, he was excluded from classes. Since 1977, he has been a senior research associate at the Faculty of Islamic Theology (today's Faculty of Islamic Sciences). Nerkez Smailagić was a translator and publisher of numerous works in the field of legal and political doctrines, philosophy, culture, civilization, history and Islamic studies. He translated from French, German, English and Italian.
The classical culture of Islam I
This book is the first attempt in our country to present the classical culture of Islam in a reviewed, comprehensive, comprehensive and documented way. In it, the main ideas, theories, institutions and results that it produced in terms of theology, philosophy and science are collected and presented in a systematic order.

Introduction to the Qur'an is the first book of its kind in our country, and subject matter and orientation. In it, the basic ideas, institutions, elements and motives of Islamic learning in general are explained meaningfully and from a broader point of view, while the historical, philological, philosophical, cultural and scientific-comparative aspects of the Qur'an as its foundation are specifically and elaborately presented.
In addition, great attention is paid to the meaning of the Qur'an for contemporary Islam, from a theoretical, ethical and social point of view.
