In book II, Classical Culture of Islam presents the basic ideas and institutions of the Islamic community, the political philosophy of Islam and the theory of the caliphate, the foundations of Islamic law and its main institutes, an overview of Arabic and Persian literature and a presentation of all the most important branches and achievements Islamic art. In the introductory part, the texts of the world's greatest Islamologists, in the East and in the West, are presented, and the introductory comments are placed in such a way as to give meaning to the selected segments, and to give a complete and conclusive presentation of the classical culture of Islam in its basis, idea, carrier, result and, finally, influence.
