Summary
Nebojša Petrović: Archipelago of hatred
enemies of the KPJ in Vojvodina after the Second World War: 1944-1953.
With the weakening of liberal ideas at the beginning of the 20th century, the norms that restrained hatred and the use of violence in all its forms also weakened. One of the forms of hatred, which by its variety, persistence and ruthlessness contributed to the enormous suffering of individuals, groups and peoples, was communist violence. It was originally used as a means of eliminating ideological opponents, but it soon became the supreme principle that required application even when no one stood in the way of the communists' absolute power.
The book deals with the categories of the population and institutions that came under the blows of repressive state bodies: civil society and its military representatives, political parties, the Orthodox and Catholic churches, the intelligentsia, national minorities and the peasantry.
