Pavlović Lučić, Ivan Josip, Croatian epigrapher (Makarska, 15. III. 1755 – Makarska, 1818). Studied theology in Padua, where he received his doctorate, then became a canon in his hometown. He dealt with Roman epigraphy, collected and published Roman inscriptions from various Dalmatian places (Narona/Vid, Zaostrog, Runović, Salona/Solin). He was a member of the Paris Académie des inscriptions. More significant works: Makar inscriptions (Marmora Macarensia, 1789), Trogir inscriptions (Marmora Traguriensia, 1811), Selected articles on Roman antiquities (Romanarum antiquitatum analecta quaedam, 1813).
