Stratico [stra:'tiko], Gregorio (Grgur Stratik), Italian and Croatian economic writer and public official (Zadar, October 7, 1736 – Zadar, 1806). Brother G. D. Stratica. He completed his law studies in Padua (1760) earning the title of Doctor of Criminal and Civil Law. After his studies, he devoted himself to the civil service; he was a scribe of the Provincial Fiscal Chamber in Zadar, a subsidiary of the same institution (probably 1776–97), an archivist and scribe of the Office for Border Affairs (1774–97), a government advisor for the Austrian administrations for administrative and political affairs at the Office of Advisors (1798–1803). Participated in several border diplomatic missions as a representative of the Venetian Republic. In addition to the civil service, he occasionally practiced law. Member of the Zadar Academies (Accademia dei Ravvivati, Accademia economico-letteraria). Wrote several discussions and reports on the Dalmatian economy, health and the general situation in the border areas.
