Marko Burin: Croatian family in Peru
Marko Burin is a prominent Croatian-Peruvian entrepreneur who arrived in Peru from his native Osojnik in 1958. This book is the result and a sort of summary of his dedicated work and activity. In the book, the author provides a brief overview of the history of Croatia and its current situation. He talks about the immigration of Croats to Peru, about the first Croatian institutions in that country, about the Croatian community in the period of Yugoslavia. In separate chapters, it describes Croatian refugees after the Second World War, the activities of our community after Croatian independence in 1990, and generations of Peruvian Croats and their contribution to the culture of Peru. At the end of the book there is a pictorial attachment and a bibliography.
