Summary
Pjotr Kuncevič: Legend of Europe
"Legend of Europe" is a confession of faith in Europe and its decalogue. Politicians and diplomats talk about economic benefits and losses resulting from integration. This point of view is sometimes painful, beggarly and miserable. The writer appeals to feeling and reason by proposing the first formula of European patriotism in Poland, and perhaps in the world, based on the common heritage of culture, law, art, through victory and defeat, and even crime in history. The European identity forces one to assume responsibility and, at the same time, gives broad rights. This book, in the opinion of the author, contains the most important elements of the breviary of the European, the legends of the continent with which he would like to introduce the readers. It is, at the same time, a way to maintain one's own national identity and accept a stage on the path of reconciliation and unification of the entire world.
