Milovan Đilas kao paradigma

Đukić Đ. Ljubomir

Summary

Ljubomir Đ. Đukić: Milovan Đilas as a paradigm

The twentieth century brought great revolutions and attempts to realize the communist idea, as well as answers to many historical questions that were raised in connection with it. Only people of great spirit and mind could engage in such challenges. Đilas is one of them. He entered the battles openly and bravely, and lost many, but won the war. His thoughts, views and attitudes were confirmed by life, and he left them to time to carry them on. Quite the opposite of Tito, who prioritized his own interests over the general's, Đilas subordinated them. He did not hesitate to make the greatest sacrifices in order to point out with his life, work and destiny the mistakes that are being made and the paths that should be followed. This earned him the name of a dissident and heretic, but also the world fame of a brave preacher of full integrity, who had enough strength to make a turning point in understanding the character of Stalinist real-socialism - not as an ideal, but as a perversion through which Marx's idea of a classless society was tried to be implemented. As a positive personality, Đilas, by his example and work, can only encourage, strengthen people's morale, direct them to positive aspects of life and point to the eternal maxim that great feats and deeds come only with great dedication and sacrifice, with the struggle for true values and humanitarian goals.
