Summary
Salih Selimović: Muslims in the Ravnogorsk Movement and JVuO Units 1941-1945
Salih Selimović's book *Muslims in the Ravnogorsk Movement and JVuO Units 1941–1945* presents an extremely important, but still insufficiently researched, chapter of Serbian and Yugoslav history. Through a thoroughly documented analysis, the author sheds light on the presence and role of Muslims in the Chetnik movement and the Yugoslav Army in the Homeland (JVuO) during the Second World War. The book opens the question of the identity and political commitment of Muslims who considered the Kingdom of Yugoslavia their homeland. It provides evidence of the existence of Muslim Chetnik units and political representatives within the Ravnogorsk movement. The author demystifies stereotypes and shows complex relationships within wartime alliances and resistance to occupation.
