By completing the texts that we publish in this jubilee edition dedicated to the 400th anniversary of the Sisak victory, we wanted to present the echo of a famous historical event - the Sisak victory from 1593, a victory celebrated in Croatian literature with drama, epic and folk song.

Finally, it should be noted that Jembrih's discovery is a true gem for Croatian literary history, especially dramatic literature. Another one was added to the unknown number of preserved, but subsequently found, Jesuit dramatic works, a work by a Croatian author with a theme from Croatian history. This fact, as well as the author's meticulous editorial and scientifically lucid approach to the problem, guarantee the quality of this undertaking.
