Rapić, Đuro, Croatian writer (Stara Gradiška, 11. IV. 1714 – Đakovo, 19. XII. 1785). Franciscan, preacher, theology lecturer. He is the author of the religious and instructive works Svakomu po malo or liti weekday sermons together with Lent (1762) and From everyone a little or liti brief description of the life, martyrdom and glory of the true and holy friends of God (1764). He also wrote a catechism (first, unpreserved edition: Satir obraćen, 1765; second edition: Satir iliti divji chovik u nauku karsjanskomu ubavistit, uputit, učit i pokarstit, 1766). This catechism, in which a monk gives religious instruction to an ignorant Satyr, is interpreted in literary historiography as a polemic against Satyr or the wild man M. A. Relković.
