The book Public relations and communication in local administration and public services begins with a presentation of the historical context and a map of changes from the service that was concentrated on relations with the media, to the service that at the beginning of the new millennium shifted to corporate communications with strategic plans related to the reputation of municipalities, changing culture, influence on political trends and relations with the media. This platform allowed the authors to provide an overview of how modern PR and communication teams should be structured, emphasizing the need for absolute professionalism, while explaining the capabilities of professionals and indicating ways in which they can measure their performance. Chapters focused on examples from practice contain topics such as communication with citizens and "users", relations with employees, the media in general and social media, as well as crisis communication and creating effective campaigns. They discussed a whole series of new and increasingly important topics that appear today, such as partnership cooperation and the challenges that accompany it, branding of local communities, as well as the promotion of local places (settlements, communities).

The authors present the matter in a professional and very knowledgeable manner, since they themselves were involved in the work of local administrations.
