Summary
According to Duško Geić, a small selection of Trogir literature (from the XI to the XX centuries) was made
Duško Geić was born on May 18, 1943. He lives and works in Trogir as an educational, cultural and public worker, poet, anthologist, lexicographer and hard-working viticulturist. He is the author of several collections of poetry and short prose, a contributor to many culture magazines. He also distinguished himself as a melographer, recording Trogir folk songs, a composer, and leader of Dalmatian klapas.
Always firmly connected to the land from which he draws strength and inspiration, for the last two decades he has been engaged in improving viticulture and winemaking in Trogir, encouraging poor people and consumers to change their habits by raising the culture of offering and drinking wine, considering that this is the only possible way for Trogir (and the same applies to the wider region) to regain the status it had in the first half of the 20th century, even producing 150,000 hl. of wine per year, supplying even the imperial canteen with it until World War I. To this end, he acts as a personal example, so he was one of the first in Trogir (in the early nineties of the 20th century) to start bottling his red wine "Mulin" (named after the locality where the vineyard is located in Malome poju in Trogir), for the quality of which he was awarded. In 2009, the Cooperative Association of Dalmatia awarded him Recognition for his contribution to the affirmation of viticulture in the Trogir region.
