Ivan Rein belongs to the generation of Croatian painters born at the beginning of the 20th century, educated at the Art Academy in Zagreb, and then in Paris, a generation whose artistic creations will fill the years between the two world wars. Prerana tragična smrt slikareva prekinula ga je u trenucima sazrijevanja, pa nije imao prilike, ukorak sa svojim suvremenicima, dovršiti svoj opus. This monograph is an attempt to get to know the artist and to process his work in a more complete manner, even with such a great distance in time.
