Summary
Paul Brunton: A Quest in Secret India
"Secret India" is an apt title for this book. Because it is about India, which is a secret because it is so sacred. The most sacred things in life are not exposed to the public. It is the infallible instinct of the human soul that it keeps them sequestered in the most secret interior, accessible to a few - and perhaps to none. But certainly to those who care about spiritual things.
This applies both to the country and to the individual. The earth keeps the most sacred things secret. It would be extremely difficult for a foreigner to discover what is most sacred to England. It is the same with India. The most sacred part of India is also the most mysterious.
Today, secret things must be sought; but those who seek will find. Those who search with all their heart and with real determination to find will eventually discover the secret.
