Summary
Kurt Cobain: The Diaries
Even when the news broke that Courtney Love, Kurt Cobain's widow, decided to sell the publishing rights to 23 of his notebooks, one could guess what kind of treasure for every admirer of Nirvana and Cobain's work is hidden in them. And, of course, when the book was published to the delight of fans, it immediately topped the list of best-selling titles.
However, it should be noted that these are not ordinary diaries, but a selection by an American publisher from about 800 pages of notes, sketches for songs, drawings, comics, ideas, plans, letters, lists of favorite artists and songs, intimate thoughts... which Cobain did not intend to publish. Therefore, the book, despite more than 200 "colorful" explanations, may be difficult to navigate in places, often spelled incorrectly, but precisely because of its immediacy, sincerity and genuineness, it represents an additional interesting insight into his work, as well as the thoughts and feelings that led him to end his life tragically at the height of his fame.
