One of the first books on medical topics by a Croatian author.
As far as we know, this is the first known copy of the book in Croatia.
Matija VLAČIĆ ILIRIK MLAĐI (Matthias Flacius Illyricus iunior), philosopher, physician (Braunschweig, 12. IX 1547–Rostock, 27 IV 1593). In 1562, he began studying philosophy and medicine in Straßburg. He continued his medical studies in Tübingen. He became a master of philosophy in Rostock in 1574, and in the same year, also in Rostock, he was enrolled as a medical student. In 1581, he became a doctor medicinae. He was a professor of philosophy and, from 1592, of practical medicine at the University of Rostock. He is the author of several medical-philosophical works.
