A warm and touching story full of humanity and hope! August (Auggie) Pullman is a boy who has to live with a severe genetic disorder that causes him to have a disfigured face and head from birth. After 28 surgeries, due to which he was never able to attend school normally, at the age of ten, his parents enrolled him in fifth grade at Beecher Elementary School. Auggie starts school with a lot of fear and disbelief and is afraid that he will be exposed to the stares, outrage and comments of his school friends every day. The thing is, Auggie is actually an ordinary boy with an extraordinary face. But can he convince his colleagues that he is just like them, despite what he looks like?
