Summary
Simonida Milojković: Diagnosis: Love
Who will pay the price of a man's arrogant bet?
When he meets the seductive actress Jelena at the premiere of a theater play, Petar, a married and handsome psychiatrist from Belgrade, decides to seduce her and investigate whether falling in love is a type of psychosis.
Thus, Jelena's life turns into a psychological experiment, and she falls madly in love, believing that she has found the man of her life. Jelena's diary becomes a chronicle of their love, and Peter's notebook a cold analysis of a research. However, which of the two writes a credible story? Did Jelena really find the perfect man and Petar the perfect guinea pig? Who is carried away by love and who by manipulation, who is the avenger in whose story, and who is the victim of their own passion?
Crossing stormy events from an unusual relationship with their interpretations in diary entries, Simonida builds her most psychologically complex novel, and leaves readers in suspense until the last pages about the relationship between the climax of a passionate love and the outcome of a cruel experiment.
