KRIVIĆ, Josip, writer (Žeževica near Šestanovac, November 1, 1929 — Speyer, November 22, 2005). Because of his political views, he was forced to work for nine years from 1947. Emigrated to Italy in 1957, then to the Federal Republic of Germany, where he received technical training. Chief commissioner of the Croatian National Committee (HNO) for the province of Baden-Württemberg in 1962, member of the HNO presidency 1965–72, for some time also secretary general, and 1966–72. editor of Croatian State (München, Berlin). He was the president of the preparatory committee of the Croatian Christian Democratic Party in emigration in 1979, the initiator in 1980 and the editor of its Bulletin (Nuremberg). He founded the MH branch for Ludwigshafen and Mannheim in 1990 and chaired it until 1994. In the novels imbued with historical-political judgments and actualizations, Jada Ante Lipića (1990) and Sluga okupatora (2000), he thematized Croatian political emigration - in the first, life in Germany, and in the second, really affecting II. world war and death, destiny in a communist prison. Collaborated in Political Prisoner (1993, 1997). His articles, lectures, speeches, protests and letters are collected in the book Unrecognized Deeds (2005).
