Summary
Bonislav Kamenjašević: Kotlovnica
Comparatist Bonislav Kamenjašević's poetry collection Kotlovnica thematizes the modern world and its relationship to nature, to life in which it is necessary to cram as much content as possible into as little (temporal) space as possible, and it is important to do this with new technological tools. In this crisis of humanity, we stretch nature like a weak rubber band, and we manipulate people as much as it suits our needs. Kamenjašević criticizes pseudo-intellectualism, war, destruction and crimes, which he sometimes does jokingly and ironically, and other times speaks about them melancholic. The collection consists of descriptions of singular phenomena, essayistic comments, and descriptions of scenes and events peppered with intertextual and intermedial links, borrowings, persiflages, and dedications to authors such as Tatjana Gromača, Danijelo Dragojević, Tino Ujević and others. The poet often postpones the point until the last verse lines, which creates a particularly strong poetic effect.
