Through the crossbeams. First edition from 1921. A novel by Ulderik Donadini, one of the founders of Croatian expressionism. Ulderiko Donadini (Plaški, 1894-Zagreb, 1923) Storyteller, playwright and essayist. Together with Šimić, the founder of Croatian expressionism. He belonged to the bohemian circles of that time. He also edited the magazine Kokot. As a schizophrenic and alcoholic, he committed suicide at the age of thirty. He wrote novels under the considerable influence of Dostoyevsky. It occupies a significant place in Croatian literature.
