Bunić Vučić shows through Mary Magdalene the inner struggle between sin and faith and the possibility of redemption through repentance. Mandaliena Pokornica is also important for understanding the Croatian literary baroque. The image of Mary Magdala, her sin and repentance is sung in the three Whispers. The verses are written in octave quatrains.
