The first part of the trilogy "Countdown", a political-spy thriller. Martin Balarin, director and co-owner of a marketing studio in New York, goes on a diving expedition to his native island of Korčula. The unexpected entanglement involving NATO and HRM will be partially clarified by Martin's return to New York, immediately after September 11, 2001, but a telegram from India awaits him there.
