Summary
Arthur Koestler: Eclipse of the Sun
Have you ever thought you were on the right side of history - while everything around you is falling apart?
Nikolaj Salmanovich Rubashov, an intellectual and one of the leaders of the Revolution, falls out of favor with the Party and overnight becomes its enemy. Accused of a counter-revolutionary conspiracy, he is faced with former comrades who are now his investigators and judges, and before them he must justify the ideology and logic they once shared.
Arthur Koestler's novel, created under the impression of the Moscow trials, was published in 1940 and soon became a world bestseller and one of the key works of anti-communist literature. The original manuscript in German was considered lost until 2015.
