Gabriel García Márquez, the author of numerous fiction titles, among which One Hundred Years of Solitude, Twelve Pilgrims and Love in the Age of Cholera are certainly outstanding, was born in 1927 in Colombia. He received the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1982.
